Woot Woot I stuck with healthy choices for 3 weeks! Man I am frigging hungry!
Just kidding. Not really hungry all the time. My body has adjusted to the calorie in take I think. I only lost like a pound this week give or take. As I had predicted, the lack of consistent exercise is working against me. I have not gotten up early this week to squeeze it in. I had a monster cold all week, and it was hard enough hoisting myself out of bed and getting myself to work. The stuffiness, sore throat, and sinus headache dominated me this week. Yuck! I exercised for like 30 minute on Friday night (aren't I exciting!) while Eric was doing the grocery shopping (yes..he's awesome like that!). But that was the extent of my exercise. We are more active on the weekends because we're home. We are out in the backyard playing with Emmett or taking walks to the park. These things are by no means high intensity, but it is movement none the less. We aren't just sitting around.
The other thing I find difficult is portion control. Food always taste so good, and I just want to keep eating until I burst. For example, this week we had spaghetti and a serving is about a cup or the size of you fist. Truthfully, that is totally enough to end my hunger pains and be good. But I love it so much! It tastes so good. I want more than to be full sometimes. I want to be stuffed. I had that same thing with Mac and Cheese today. It was a healthy Mac and Cheese it had squash, no fat cream cheese, and low fat cheese, but even when it's healthy I know I have to set limits and watch my portions. So hard to do!
So, same challenge again this week. I need to find time to get moving and break a sweat and monitor my portions. I know this is always easier said than done!
