Looking Foward and Back

2011 is coming to a close. It was a great year. Here are some of our highlights.

  1. Eric and I celebrated 4 years of marriage :-)

  2. My sister, Heather, came and spent a week with us.

  3. We got to go to MI and spend 2 weeks with our family this past summer. We were able to spend time with old friends, go the beach, and spend quality time with family we don't get see as much as we'd like. Emmett got to meet his Great-Grandma Lacey for the first time too.

  4. We found out we were pregnant with Baby #2 and we got to tell everyone in person.

  5. We had visits from our parents.

  6. We took Emmett to Mt. Lemmon for the first time. He LOVED it.

  7. Emmett started sleeping in his big boy bed.

  8. Emmett learned to count to 10+ by himself and sing the ABC's

  9. I turned 30

  10. Emmett turned 2

  11. We had our 1st Breuker Family Thanksgiving starting our own traditions.

  12. Emmett peed in the potty for the first time on his own. It's only happened once but here's to hoping.

  13. Eric graduated with a BS in business management and turned 29 all on the same day.

  14. We had a great time teaching Emmett about the birth of Jesus, decorating cookies, decorating the tree, making ornaments, and going and seeing Christmas lights

  15. We started our own Christmas Eve/Christmas Day traditions with our family.

In sum...it was a great year. We have a lot to look forward to as well.

  1. Baby #2 should be making its appearance in a few weeks. Very excited to meet him/her!

  2. Eric and I will celebrate 5 years of marriage. Its gone so fast. Can't believe it has been 5 years already.

  3. Visits from dad and sister are planned during my maternity leave.

  4. Looking forward to all the things Emmett will learn to do this year. He is so inquisitive and talkative. He amazes me every day and we love watching him grow up. He is a giant sponge. He's just hilarious.

  5. Looking forward to Emmett becoming a Big Brother. He doesn't understand what that means right now, but I know he'll be awesome at it. He's so kind and sensitive that I think he'll be a natural.

  6. Eric wants to start looking for a new job. He's not sure what he want to do or even what field to pursue at the moment, but I know that God has a plan for him. We just have to be patient and wait and see. This can be hard so we're praying for direction and patience on that one.

  7. Summer vacation and being off with both kids for a few weeks.

  8. Hopefully we'll be able to take a trip to MI this summer. It will depend on whether Eric gets another job or not and if he can take time off. We are tentatively planning on it though. We will be disappointed if we can't, but hopefully then we'll be able to make it next Christmas. We'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

  9. Eric will turn 30 this coming year.

There is probably a lot more to look forward to, but this was all I can think of right now. 2012 should prove to be a a great year! I'm excited to see what God has in store for our family. I hope that you all have a great new year as well. Cheers!
