The sunset over Lake Michigan is definitely one of the things that I miss the most about living in Michigan. It is so beautiful and peaceful. To me, it really reflects the perfection of God's creation. We just got back from a 2 week vacation in Michigan. It was wonderful! We got to spend a lot of time with family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors without dying from the heat. Emmett lived outside for a majority of the trip. He loved my dad's Koi pond. The fishies were a big hit. Grass was something he also enjoyed as we do not have it here. The whole way from the airport to my dad's (45min) he was looking out the window saying "grass, trees, grass." It was funny. He saw is first thunderstorm and was fascinated by it. He stood at the window yelling "Thunder, rain, thunder, rain" and pointing. I think the window may have an Emmett face print on it. The three of us had a great time. I had over 150 pictures. So, I just picked one of my favorites to share. I hope you too are having a wonderful and restful summer.
