New Discoveries

Emmett has been discovering all kinds of stuff. He is very curious, humorous, smart, and stubborn. At eight months he has starting do a lot of new things. He mastered peek-a-boo on our Michigan trip. If you are holding him, he'll put his head down on your chest and wait for you to say, "where's Emmett?" and then he pops up with a giggle. If you cover him with a blanket and ask, "where's Emmett?" he'll pull off the blanket and smiles. He's giving Eric and I high fives. He likes to hold the spoon and help feed himself. He's been getting really good at it too...sometimes it takes a lot of patience on our part though. More food ends up all over, but we're working on it. He feeds cheerios to himself, and he eats these rice cake stick things called Mums. His newest thing is to share. He takes a bite of the Mum and then offers me a bite. It's really cute. I usually pretend to eat it vs. actually eating it. We are working on him holding his own sippy cup. He would rather we hold it. That is where the stubbornness comes in. He will roll the ball with me too. It's not always accurate, but he's got the concept. His babbles are hitting more syllables. Along with his favorite da da he also does wa wa, ba ba, sss, ttt, and st. Everything has been so fun and exciting to watch. Eric and I are really enjoying him. Enjoying his lunch.
Being a happy little baby.
First time coloring.
The pacifier was a nice way to keep the crayons out of his mouth.
He looks very dazed. He was smiling right before I took this.
Emmett working on his first picture.
He probably will be writing his name soon:-)
