So this week has been a week.
The stinky part of the week 1st: One of my students, who has worked her way into my heart, left today. She will not be at our school any more. I have had a lot of needy kids leave that I was sad about but none like this. Today sucked it felt like one of my own kids was being taken away. I may have cried a little.
Funny Part: I was working with two boys reading a story. We just learned the digraph 'sh' last week and this week week we learned the long a. We are reading a story about a girl and mom who miss a baseball game because of rain. Instead they play ping pong. OK so the sentence the boys were trying to do was "Jane stands and hits." So they figured out the 1st 3 words and then they get to hits and start sounding it out. They read "Jane stands and shits." I have to hide my laughter behind my hand and then ask them to read it again. This happens 4 times. Neither of them catch what they are saying. They finally get it and continue. I finally start laughing (quite hard mind you) on the next page. They say what is so funny Mrs. Breuker? I tell them I think the words ping pong is so funny and they agree and start laughing too. It was really funny. You might of had to be there.
Anyway that was the week

that's funny!! I love when little kids say something that isn't good but yet they have no clue that it is bad!
