Snow!

So we had snow last night. It is so laughable. It was a dusting by a Michigander's standards. Everyone had hoped for a snow day, but it had not gotten cold enough for the bridges to ice over. Had it done so, we wouldn't have had school b/c they don't have salt trucks here. So, all over the news this morning was the "winter storm" we received. From the coverage, you would have thought we had gotten like feet and feet of snow not inches. Eric and I were chuckling as we listened. The part we thought was hilarious was that some people were refusing to leave their homes because of the snow. They were giving out basic driving tips for snow and ice. We thought it was so funny how they had to tell people to not slam on brakes but tap and ease. If you start to spin don't jerk the wheel the opposite way. Etc...Eric and I thought this was common sense driving advice, but apparently we live in a land where people are stupid about snow driving. They were reminding people that they needed to allow more time and all that. Hello! Duh!

Anyway, that is the big news here. We are still in a "winter warning" for now. It will freeze again tonight. All the mountains are quite white. Today it was in the mid-40s. You'd think we lived in the Artic to talk to people. I thought if felt like a crisp fall day. It was great for me. I got to wear one of my wool sweaters that I haven't gotten to wear in 2 years. So, by our standards it was great. I don't think everyone else here would agree though.

Here are some pictures of our "big" snow. Have a great day!
Poor lemons! Not sure if they
made the it through the freeze.
