100 DAYS IN FIRST GRADE!
Hurray! I made it to the 100th day of school. Yesterday, January 15th, was the 100th day of school at Los Ranchitos. Can you believe it? I can't. That went so fast (some days not at fast as others!). That means today, was the 80th day until summer. Tomorrow, I'll only have 79 days left as a first year teacher. Hurray again!! Yeah!! (Although, I don't know if my next year's class could be as awesome as this year.)
Anyway, it was a super fun day in First Grade. We made glasses/headbands in the shape of 100. We read 100 words, counted to 100 in many ways, wrote about what we'd do with 100 dollars, and much more. One of the things that I think the kids enjoyed the most was sorting and counting 100 M&Ms. I only let them eat some then sent the rest home. I'm sure my parents love me!
