His patience extends to me too. I can be in melt down mode we he gets home too (depending on the day). He helps with dinner, bath, and chores, and makes time for us. He is working very hard trying to get his Bachelors and working full time, all for our family. These are all great things I really appreciate about Eric. And since it's Father's Day, I though I'd share what a great husband and father he is.

Super Lucky
First, of I apologize for being a super crappy blogger as of late. Emmett has been keeping me busy!
I was sitting on the back porch this weekend watching my son and my husband. They were walking hand in hand around the yard looking at the garden. Emmett would squat down and say "what's this?" and Eric would say that's a whatever it was. They repeated this over and over again. Eric answering Emmett each time with patience and kindness even though he'd already named that very squash 5 times already. Emmett would run to the next one and ask again. Eventually, Eric scooped him up and hung him upside down and tickled him and then tossed him up in the air. Emmett just giggled and laughed and said "again." As I sat watching, it dawned on me how stinking lucky I got. There are so many men who don't step up to the plate when comes to fatherhood or marriage for that matter, or they do but suck. Eric is there for Emmett in every capacity possible. No matter how stinky his day was, Eric always greets Emmett with a smile and patience when he gets home. Which can be really hard because sometimes Emmett is in melt down mode by the time Eric gets home. Usually he is able to make him happy, if only for a little while. He would spoil him to no end if I let him always picking up some toy at the store asking if we can get it for Emmett. He disciplines with compassion and patience, which if you have kids you know that is a difficult feet at times.
His patience extends to me too. I can be in melt down mode we he gets home too (depending on the day). He helps with dinner, bath, and chores, and makes time for us. He is working very hard trying to get his Bachelors and working full time, all for our family. These are all great things I really appreciate about Eric.
