So, Eric had the last of his wisdom teeth surgically removed yesterday. It was fully impacted, which apparently is bad. They have to cut open the gum, drill open the bone, drill the tooth in half, and then pull it all out. They had to leave some of the roots in the bone because if they try to take it all out it can cause severe nerve damage which could lead to partial facial paralysis. Needless to say, he has been quite uncomfortable the last 24 hours. He hopes to return to work on Friday. The pain killers are keeping him groggy.
