As I hinted in our previous post, Eric and I are expecting an addition to our family! We started our 2nd trimester this week. We are 14 1/2 weeks along. We are due on December 2nd 2009. I had an ultra sound at our 11 week visit. The doctor couldn't find the heart beat with the Doppler and after talking with us and finding out we have identical twins running in the family (my sister had them and Eric's Grandma did too) she wanted to check it out. We got to see a picture of the baby (1 baby no twins). He/she did a flip while we were watching which startled the tech. It made us laugh. The baby also kept moving its little arm buds back and forth to its face. It was so cool. I think Eric and I had perma-grin the rest of day. However, after much trying I couldn't get the pdf file to down load onto the blog. Sorry!
We have our next doctor's appointment this coming Friday. We are coming to Michigan in July mostly because we will not make it home over Christmas. We didn't think we wanted to try the air port and travel with a 2-3 week old baby. We strongly considered it, but my parents and other friends influenced us the other way. So, instead we are recruiting people to come visit us here. Hint Hint January and February are great months to escape MI!
I have been feeling good. I had some food aversions the first few weeks and was a really picky eater (which is not like me). Eric got a tad frustrated. But I had no vomiting and was just really tired and slightly crabby. All that has tapered off now and I'm feeling good. I had to go by a belly band last week because buttoning my pants while possible, becomes very uncomfortable by mid day. I tried the rubber band trick but when I had to use the bathroom I couldn't get it undone fast enough. I was very close to an accident a few times. I am glad school is done because 2 1/2 hours in the morning with no potty break was very tough.
We are both very excited! I am excited to see Eric with a baby. He's going to be such a good dad. If we happened to have a girl, I know she'll have Eric wrapped around her pinkie finger within a day. Heck, if its a boy it will be the same way! He's gonna love their face off and be so cute! It will be awesome! Anyway, that's all our news on the subject for now. Thanks for reading.
